patrick
I picked up 4 used 20 gallon tanks for $15 each from Natures Corner and needed a cheap solution for a stand. After some calculaltions I figured I would need: 3pc 2"x3" 8' long 6pc 1"x4" 10' long Cost: $31 Here it is finished but not yet painted. Very sturdy, and even looks pretty good. Tanks have been cleaned and re-lined Painted with 2 coats primer/sealer The final test of both stand and the re-lined tanks. 100% approved! snaggle
Looks great, just a couple of questions, What is the hight from the bottom shelf to to the bottom of the top[ shelf? Are you able to put a 4' light inside the top shelf or is there a brace in side there?

Are you able to put a 4' light inside the top shelf or is there a brace in side there? The height from the top of bottom shelf to the bottom of top shelf is 24". There is a brace inside so I am going to use two 18" strips instead. They are ony $11 at Rona.

Kronosdelsol
That is very nice. I especially like how you built the base-platform that holds the legs.
Morphine
Spiffy Patrick! Would you consider duplicating your stand for a profit $$ I'm picking up 4 - 15G's from K9 when I"m back in the province and i'll have to search for a stand!
