They typically show a very small amount of speckles at approx 3-4", and then take approx 3-4 yrs to fully mature in size & color. If my memory serves me correctly these two males will be 3 yrs old next spring. And yes, they've been eating an exclusive diet of NLS since they were small juvies. Definitely one of my favorite africans, you can't beat their unique look. Too bad I can't get as nice of pics of my guy. He is camera shy and my camera is a piece of crap now.
