Tarolisol
Just wondering if lobsters or crayfish or plant safe?
bottomdweller_fan
I would not suggest it. They will eat any and all plant matter - including less tasty plants like Java Fern. The only crayfish that won't eat plants are the dwarf crayfish. Edited March 2, 2009 by bottomdweller_fan
jvision
I know a couple people who kept crays that would toss their cuttings into the cray tank, and watch it shred and eat the plants.
Vallisneria
Not a good idea. I've kept a couple crays and they would shred up any plant I put in there. I'd give them my plant clippings as it was funny to watch them "edward scissorhand" them to pieces. Heck, they even shredded up my plastic plants. If you want inverts in a planted tank you'd be better off picking shrimp. There are some cooler larger shrimp species like the fan shrimps or even the smaller colorful shrimp like the greens or cherries.
