sailfinja
I set up an old claw bath tub as a pond. No fish in it yet as it is the end of summer (fish are in an aquarium, which just looks like green soup but the fish seem happy). Should I drain the water for winter or leave it in? Will freezing do any damage?
BettaFishMommy
if your fish aren't going in until next year i'd drain it and leave it dry for the winter. don't want to take a chance on anything cracking as a result of freeze. Ishkabod
even with the fish in it it`s best to move them indoors and shut it down because they probably wouldn`t survive the ice cube the water would become unless it was underground. Congrats on the new pond L
