slowrider
Okay, my first love in fish has always been either the cardinal or neon tetras. If I had a 20 gal. tank and about 6 tetras what other fish could I add to that tank that would get along? Or is this already too many for a 20 gal. tank? Oh, and I like colorful fish, if you couldn't already tell. lol
Vallisneria
I used to have a fully planted 15g with a pair of german blue rams, 6 cardinal tetras and a BN pleco. It made for a beautiful and active tank. Or you could just get a larger school of cardinals and do a cardinal only tank. That would look great. jvision
In a 20 gal, you could go with twice the cardinals easily. I'd also add 6 or so smaller cories, a BN Pleco, and maybe 4-8 Marble Hatchets.
slowrider
Thanks for the great ideas! Now all I have to do is look up these other fish and see what they look like and what they eat. Can you tell I'm pretty much a newbie?? nighthawk
I'm a big fan of apistogrammas, and they get along well with cardinals. Any kind you can find; 1 M + 2 F would be happy there, too. Take a look at the orange flash variant of A. cacatuoides online: you won't find much more colour than that! As long as you have plants, that is....
