Tanker Posted April 19, 2005 Report Share Posted April 19, 2005 Wal-Mart sells a 6 pack of either 60 or 100 watt equivelant bulbs (about 15 'real' watts, each) for about $17. They have a standard screw base, but also a rather large ballast built into the base, and may not fit in an standard 10 gallon hood. Make sure you have a careful eye when selecting the bulb, to avoid forcing something to fit that isn't supposed to... end up trashing your fixture and electrocuting yourself, or your fish. HOSStile Posted April 19, 2005 Report Share Posted April 19, 2005 Zellers had a 4 pack of 15w for $15.00. I have screwed them into the standard petcetera hood/light on my 10 gallon tanks and they worked well.
