zooz
Hello everyone, I am new to Calgary. Just got here at the end of August. I had to unfortunately tear down my beautiful set-up I had in Toronto. I will be only here until July but am really itching to get another reef setup started. I go to Mount Royal University and they only allow 10G setups which is really small. I was thinking more like a 20L. I'm on a limited budget as a student and not sure if I should even start a tank due to my short stay. What do you guys suggest I do? GreenDrake
Welcome to Calgary. It's probably not worth it to set up a tank for your short stay here, but you can always admire all the display tanks at the aquarium stores. The zoo has some pretty cool setups as well. fishclubgirl
Set up the tank!! I'd go nuts without at least one tank myself. My fish always bring a smile to my face and I enjoy watching my little ones grow.
Wingin' It
:welcome: I probably wouldn't set up a tank for that short amount of time...especially not a SW tank...it would be depressing knowing it would have to come down in 8 mths. Best of luck at MRU (i'm 2005 alumni!) It's a wonderful place!
jesp
I guess we are school peers. If you have never tried a small planted tank with maybe some cherry shrimp and perhaps a small easily bred type of fish, I think it could be very rewarding and fill that 10 gallon hole in your heart. Welcome to the city. Where you from originally?
