fish4fun
why not go with 2 36" fixtures to get full coverage?
African_Fever
Enough light for what? To see the fish, yes.
jvision
When I had a 6' planted tank, I used 3 x 4' fixtures. It allowed me to grow pretty much anything in the centre 2' of the tank and could easily grow Crypts, swords and other med-low light plants at the edges. If you're not planting the tank (which I'm guessing from the amount of light) the extra light in the middle will show their colors nicely, and give a little bit of a shaded area on the edges which might make them feel more comfortable if they need a place to relax. jakdrob
2 X 36" 2 bulb fixtures should work great. does wattage matter? how can u tell the light output of the bulb?
jvision
Wattage doesn't really matter for now. When you decide to put plants in, you'll probably want to aim for the 1-2 watt per gallon range
