Nandopsis
I just checked it out. "Big D" here has some for sale in the classified section. It's on the 3rd or 4th page, you can't miss it.
rudy
Everybody (Calgary) here has them right now. Most oscars are selectively bred to get the variants that sell and so calling these guys freaks would mean you would have to call them all freaks. FishBrain
The site i found them shows them as Wild Caught?
Vallisneria
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/viewtop...&highlight=veil I find them a bit creepy. I never liked veiled fish, the normal versions always look better.
johnsmith
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/viewtop...&highlight=veil I'm not sure what's worse the veil or that gravel They have some little ones at Petland and they look like they can barely drag their fins and tail around. Some of them have tails that are almost as long as their bodies. It's too bad people get bored with normal looking fish.
FishBrain
Petland in the N, S, E, W??

johnsmith
Petland in the N, S, E, W?? That would be Petland on McLeod Tr. just south of Heritage. I haven't been there in a while though so I'm not sure if they're still there. Sorry about that.
Smokey
MPO ... Another "mutant strain" which will become the "Flavor-of-the-month"! AND more $$$. for the retsalers! However, anyone who has that "Color" in their tank, requires such a fish ...lol..... Something about the Jaw-line does not look correct ?? rudy
There is nothing strange about them. There are line bred like any other oscar. There is no such thing as a wild caught tiger, or red oscar. All colored oscars are designed that way. Recessive genes that are brought out by selective breeding. Same as the veil tailed. Wild coloration oscars have very minimal red. Usually just on the occeli just below the dorsal.
