thelegend0210
Was in PJ"s WestEd today and they have a tank labeled with Purple Paradise Gourami's and Spiketail Paradise Gourami's. I can't seem to find any info on the purple paradise. I would have asked but it was way too busy there. Just wondering if anyone knows how big they get and how aggressive they are? I have three dwarf gourami's, along with guppies, danio's, loaches, and rainbow fish.
Fishnerd
I've never seen them before but I have heard about how they are dye injected. try googling them or if you can speak to the people in the store however I wouldn't expect them to know or exactly tell the truth. But that's just my opinion

polleni-puffer
I'll do some asking around for you. I work at pj's ,so I'll have some answers for you this evening. If the store I work at and the WEM store have the same suppliers ,chances are they are just blue paradise gourami's that they(the WEM store) labled as something else. thelegend0210
Thanks, The fish in the tank are actually purple and smaller than the dwarf gouramis I have already. Well, whatever they are, they're pretty cool looking. Anything you can find out would be much appreciated. rayfong
I think all PJ's order the fish from the same supplier. Aquatic Imports in Calgary.
jvision
Paradise fish are similar to gouramis in the fact they are labyrinth fish (special organ allows them to breath air). They get to be about the same size as a dwarf gourami and can be a bit more aggressive than their cousins, but still not what I'd call an aggressive fish.
