Wingin' It
You can try Peroxide, but it's a toss up...it'll definately kill algae, but it could kill your moss if you add too much.
jvision
More CO2! You can also spot treat w. Excel. Maybe check the temp - I've seen algae ramp up when things get a bit warm. Most plants have an ideal temp in the low 70s, so when things get up into the hi 80s some plants slow down
The-Influence
Ahhhhhhh the heat might be the culprit ! Thanks Blake
jcgd
Hair algae. It often shows up in moss for some reason. It sometimes goes away on its own. Like jvision said - more co2!
nanmer
I too have had an explosion of the nasty stuff! I know temperature is not the issue as I have it in my cold water tanks. I will try adding co2 too!
jewels
Of all the algae I have encountered; that one is the toughest to beat. . . I managed to beat it by doing two things. unobstructing flow within canister filter adding more Nitrate ,,, may or may not apply to you. I have not seen it return since 2008. This is a good read http://tinyurl.com/3jpgej6
