leduc_fish
Just got a puffer and I want to make a snail tank but was wondering if it would be possible to breed shrimp in the same tank or would the two species conflict. Thanks...Wendy

jvision
Both do great at eating excess food, so just feed a planted shrimp tank well, and you'll likely have more than enough snails, too.
Sprucegruve
I have only ever had one problem with shrimp an snails in the same tank. I found that my apple snails got scared when the shrimp touched them, therefore my apole snail almost died because they stayed in their shells inttead of eating. But red ramshorn,MTS,and pond snails don't seem to mind shrimp
Vallisneria
Yep, they are compatible. I have some Assassin snails in with my Yellow shrimp, both are breeding. They also never bothered my regular pond and ramshorn snails.
rayfong
Snails and shrimp will breed together, just have to take a look at my yellow shrimp tank.
