How's the m/f ratio on the p. peruensis, Jorg?

Bad -- unless I'm not sexing them proper they are looking like they will be Barracuda food

Some pics of the wild Discus we got a couple month ago that I decided to keep for awhile. I have about half of them eating NLS pellets now but still have to give them live food every couple days. It is also my first attempt at a planted tank. I put the apple tree branches in to prevent Harold from sneaking in a net when I'm not looking ha ha.

I'm not convinced they are peruensis hence the question mark by the picture. I will give them some more time to color up, but they all look like males to me. There might be some females hiding in the thick vegetation I have in their tanks but I have not spotted any.

A few more Pics

I have been trying to improve the red body and blue face in my Eureka peacocks the last couple years by selective line breeding. Here is my current breeder male I am using.

I introduced an albino gene into my German red peacocks a couple years ago. It is still work in progress to get a very red body.
