Wingin' It
I got a breeding pair of Yellow head Comps, 3 black zambia calvus, and 2 strange "twig-cat" like fish...just can't remember their name at this very moment. It was a very good auction!
werner
I got a couple of locally bred royal farlowellas, and some uncommon plants: Bolbitis heteroclita, Eriocaulon setaceum, and Cryptocoryne nurii. Lots of people there and healthy bidding right to the end!
epiphany
Whoever ended up with that 45 gallon tank got an amazing deal, same with the terrarium and a few canister filters.
DanGofCalgary
Bah. I missed everything. Flew in from Myrtle beach about 10:30 Sat night, only to be greeted with immediate repair problems. The price i pay to go away golfing for 5 days... In any case, by the time I got my daughters car fixed, the auction was all but over... Were there any interesting killies in the auction? Did Jim bring any with him? I know that pony tail fellow is breeding some interesting SA killes. Did he bring any? @Werner: Who is breeding the Royal Farlowellas? I bred those in the 90s. they are AWESOME fish! I have some regular farlowellas (sp gracilis I believe) that are spawning regularily, but I haven't tried to preserve the fry. Good luck with them! werner
The farlowellas are being bred by Udo (sp?) and his wife. They're great fish! I spent all last evening watching them. I just have to figure out something for the little guys like to eat that won't get stolen by all the other fish. Farlowella #1 has been guarding an algae tablet all night, but doesn't look like he's actually doing much eating. #2 is hanging out in the plants. Wingin' It
Not many killies Dan. Jim didn't bring any fish worth him, but did donate some awesome books to the auction! Edited April 3, 2012 by Wingin' It
