damtrees
I run a bare bottom tank with a 7x3.5 footprint i use a garden house for water changes but i wonder if anyone has seen or hurd of something to widen out the suction range of my hose id like from 6 to 4 inches would work almost like a vac attachment as then i could suck up a lot more of the fine stuff along the bottom
Vallisneria
See if you can find a funnel that will fit the end of your hose.
ckmullin
Go the the $1 store grab a funnel and use silicone sealant to glue that sucker in there well. Rough up quite well with sandpaper etc so the silicone has more of a tooth to grab hold. dunno if they sell Canadiana Red Green duct-tape for aquariums yet
damtrees
problom with a funnal is it will suck down to the bottom so easy i was thinking more like an ice scraper shape and would have about 1/4 inch diffrince bettween the frount and back so it will never get stuck to the bottom and i can just run it along
jvision
Just use a Dremel or saw to make 1/2"-1" cuts around the funnel to prevent a tight seal w the bottom
Jewel
Trim 1/2 the funnel with a sharp blade
