Classified Suggestion

Hi there,

I was browsing the Classifieds and noticed what a pain it is to locate ads for my area. I have a suggestion that might make it easier to locate and would also help with organization.

My suggestion is, under each branch of the classifieds (Livestock, Equipment, etc) To have ads organized by Area Code.

Example:

(Livestock Classifieds --> Ads in Area Code 780 --> Listings as normal)

(Livestock Classifieds --> Ads in Area Code 403 --> Listings as normal)

I think it would help greatly with those searching for specific species/equipment/etc in their immediate area.

That would be fine if there wasn't a new province-wide area code (587).

Ideally, people would put where they're located in the Title or tag field. Buy/Sell rules state tht location must be stated in the ad itself, but often we let it go if the member has filled out their personal info under their Avatar.

...and might be ANOTHER new area code in the near future. As the current setup of ab ph # is close to it's end.

Make it Calgary/ Edmonton and done. Or north/south. Or just leave it alone.

Yip. Everyone should have their location on their profile. Simple.

Additionally, I think that there should be a rule that you have to add location to the title. It'll help save many of us from the disappointment of "Woah that's exactly what I want!" and then click on the link and realize that the item is not in your area.
