fishclubgirl
Was rethinking my lighting on some of my smaller tanks and realised the spectrum was wrong. Stopped in at Totem(and they have free popcorn...) and picked up some Sylvania micromini 13 watt 6700k bulbs 3 for 11.99. They fit well into a standard incandescent fixture and I got airmiles. You may be able to find them cheaper but you don't get airmiles and popcorn...Just a heads up for us bargain hunters....

epiphany
You can also get the same brand in 9 watt bulbs if you're lighting up a smaller tank.
Deano85
I was browsing dollerama (yes I am cheap) and found some 13w cfl 6500k for $2. Might be useful for smaller tanks.

I could only find soft whites there but will keep my eyes open definitely. I've had the lights up for 3 weeks and am amazed at the results; anubias sporting new leaves, crypts with runners, wow.... Have just shifted around some more plants and hope to see more of the same!!!
