madagascariensis
So I've been searching for honey gouramis for a long time. Just yesterday I was at big als and asked them whether they could special order any for me, and they said that that was not possible due to a new law that was passed under which honey gouramis and a whole bunch of other fish including guppies were illegal to bring into canada. It's the first time I've ever heard of that before. What is up with this law? Why would they do so? Does anyone know a list of species that are banned? Any input is appreciated. madagascariensis
thanks a lot. Do I understand correctly that there is no prohibition against keeping a species but only a prohibition for bringing it into canada?
nanmer
Apparently gouramis have just been taken off the list. We should be able to start seeing them again soon.

SuperGuppyGirl
Errrr which MTS? I was talking multiple tank syndrome and I believe KristenR is talking snails lol Ich? Really? I was under the impression it's possible in all fish, granted some more prone than others but to wipe it out would be impossible unless they entirely ban all aquariums..., Edited April 29, 2013 by SuperGuppyGirl

Vallisneria
Aquarium Central has some listed on their new freshwater stock list and its Honey Gouramis(Colisa Chuna). Of course they are in Edmonton but they might be able to help you out with where they got them, or ship some down to you.
