jeditait
I am going to be tearing down my tank this weekend, i have seen on other sites people have used shop vacs to suck up their sand and gravel. I am wondering if anyone here has tried this and if you can bestow any tips tricks for this process. Thank you!
Jaykit
I've moved my tanks too many times to count and all I use are rubber maid containers/5 gallon pails and a kids beach shovel. It works great.
ckmullin
just watch...don't scratch the glass too much you don't want one of those hairline cracks deciding to open up and crack the bottom
jeditait
My goal is to get the tank as clean as possible, I will be doing a 3D background once the move has been completed and i need to ensure all the bits of sand and what not is out of the tank. I figured the shop vac would be the best solution to get up all the bits a shovel/dustpan would normally miss.
jvision
Yeah, a shop-vac is great for getting the last bit of sand and water out.
