EowynJane
Has anyone found any plants that a cichlid wouldn't eat? I have a tank with yellow labs and yellow tail acei and I've probably planted it 4 or 5 times. Everything is either eaten or dug up and beaten to death. Has anyone had any luck planting these tanks? Psylant
Anubias is probably your best bet. It's very leathery and rigid. It must be tied down to rocks/wood so no worries about it being uprooted.
ckmullin
Bamboo is one.

flyfisher
They don't like the taste of java fern or any plants of the plasticus variety... Java Fern works crazy glue it to the rock work.
EowynJane
Thanks I have some java fern in another tank, I'll try some of that. I had anubias in there once and it didn't take off, I'm not sure if it got to beat up or what.
Bruno
I tried both Anubias and Java Fern. They left the java fern alone, but took bites at the anubias from time to time. It still did ok, but it was like they had to test it every once in a while.
