dagon721
I had 2 beutiful mating pairs. A green texan & a blue acara pair. Got generous fry from both. I harvested the fries & put them in separate tanks. Everything went well for a while but eventually they all died. Hans the q? What did I do wrong? jvision
Raising quality fry requires lots of quality food, which creates a lot of waste. If you're not doing regular large water changes, it doesn't take long for the water to become toxic. I know some breeders doing 50% WCs every other day. Could that be the problem? geleen
Another possibility in addition to above did you have seasoned filtration
fatpuffer
I bred EBJD and performed daily 100 percent water change. Tank was only 10 gallon so it was easy. Just make sure water temp and parameters are about the same.
dagon721
Thanks fo theinfo. To b honest I was afraid to change to much water at a time thinking that would b more harmful to the fry. Live & learn I gues. I'll keek that in mind if I deside to mate this guys again. I never had any problems with africans.
