I'm looking for a catfish/sucker cat or pleco that will eat algae, but is also okay with some salt in its water.

Does this exist? Can mystery/apple snails do okay with salt in the water? I'm talking like, 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons.

I bought 2 columbian sharks from Gold's, was told they are fine with Oscars and need a little salt. It'll only be temporary until I can find someone who wants to take the sharks off my hands as they eventually require full marine, which I cannot provide.

I never knew that columbian sharks required full marine.

Not quite, although they can take it......they progress to heavier salinity as they mature.

Zebra nerite snails (Big Al's @ $4.99 each) do a bang-up job on algae and thrive in brackish water (in fact, although they will survive in FW, the require brackish to reproduce).
