I'm not interested in breeding rays but I'm certainly intrigued enough to want

to get a couple. Gee I got given a very nice tank and was wondering what I

should put into it hehe...Now I guess I have to start figuring out what they

like for filtration, current and so on? I've got sand, no prob there, can anyone

give me some freshwater ray basics?

^^ what dimensions is the tank? rays need a good footprint to thrive.

18" deep, 18" high and 36" long. I also have one that is 14" deep, 18"

high and 48" long. Can use either one, and there wont be any other

fish in it likely.

I would never put rays in anything less than a 6 foot tank. Not because I believe they need it when young but trust me they look cramped in there. Not matter what kind of ray

gotta totally agree on that one!!!!

You are totally my idol now.......

I am soooooooo jealous of you rudy!!

I am soo intrerested to find out how much you paid, but now that would not be very lady like of me, would it?

When they have pups, I want one (if I can afford one...)

Congrats!!!!!

I am blown away by these rays. They are so white spotted compared to my other Henlei. I just put them in their new tank so will snap pics.

It is a bold statement right now, but she is pregnant and probably was when I got her. She has a ball shaped bulge that is either a tumor or a ray as it is growing. I have been away and the person who looked after my house noticed it and wondered what it was. She never fed the rays so it is pretty noticeable after a 5 day fast. I got home today and I agree.
