  1. :welcome: and good luck with your setup!
  2. :welcome: back to the hobby Nathin!!
  3. Well yours sure looks well-fed! You've clearly done a great job raising him, are they a schooling fish? A small group of them would be amazing.
  4. forget aros, I'm good for Pbass and dats!
  5. Do you have any/could you get any pics of your Dat by itself. That is a gorgeous fish!!
  6. Wow! That's a dream tank for anyone Did you run out of sand? :P
  7. I have never seen pics that made these fish look as good as yours do. Very, very nice
  8. That last fish looks like a Nic to me, you sure it's an Acara? Nice fish all of them though
  9. :welcome: to the forum!
  10. :welcome: what fish have you kept?
  11. That second pic is pretty phenomenal Patrick. Gotta love it when you get near-perfect shot like that! (I must admit, these cichlids are proving to be a lot harder to photograph than any other fish I have tried).
  12. I have kept Betta pugnax, which is also a wild mouthbrooder type. The only advice I can offer is to cover every single space over the top of the aquarium. I haven't had to worry as much with domestic bettas, but these wild types can be... wild! I had to use paper with tape to cover every crack and they both found a way out, very frustrating.
  13. That's definitely why I don't like bowfronts. Yours looks great though, good job
  14. That sucks. I lost my mouthbrooding bettas that way too. One fish that is a really talented carpet surfer is my Weather Loach. Eight times and counting I have found him half-dried on the rug looking like fish jerky and he's always bounced back
  15. :welcome: to the forum! I agree with you, goldfish are very underrated as a species. Aquarists should not forget where they began their hobby. I want to have a nice 500 gallon full of wild caught goldfish one day. That would be a sight
  16. That looks so awesome!! Can't wait to see it all set up
  17. Good stuff Greg! Nice to see exactly how they behave and that pic is your best yet, your practise is paying off!
  18. Thought so. I don't know of any other Cyprinodontid that is available for us here. They are a nice group of fish. Good luck with yours
  19. Very nice setup  What fish is that in the first pic of your second post? Is it a Cyprinodontid?
  20. Or Neolebias ansorgii, sometimes known as "Landgraf's Tetra"???
