Welcome to Alberta Aquatica!

I think it may be too much. There is 5 minnows now since one decided to go on a little "trip". I may put them in another tank and get a betta. Anyone noticed any spectacular bettas in the LFS?

I don't know how to calculate what size the tank is. I don't think it is double stocked as the corycats are 1 cm long and almost full grown. I am just worried that the WC's do not have enough room to swim. The tankk is usually room temperature as it is unheated right now. I have a sponge filter for filtration. The water is clean and the nitirites are 0. They have some dwarf val in there too. What I meant by "twitchy" is they swim in small circles and they move around more than my swordtails.

I have 6 dwarf corycats and 6 white cloud minnows in a hex that is 6 and a quater inches by 11 inches on each side. Is this too small for them? They seem twitchy. Are they just always twitchy? I have never kept these fish before but I thought they would be okay in such a tiny tank as I had heard of them being okay in small tanks. Thanks in advance for any feedback. I know sometimes my questions are a little dumb.

Any of the tiny corycats are good. I have 6 dwarf corycats and 6 white cloud minnows in my 7 gallon.

Those are some cool rays!

Henry also has another dwarf corycat. Not a hastatus I just bought them today and they are very tiny. Go and ask about them. They are doing very well in my 10g hex. I have 6 in there and I could fit at least 6 more with no trouble.

Those are some pretty fish. The one in the bottom picture looks like it is smiling.

I ranked it #1 because I don't have a garden right now so my tanks get all of my hobby energy. When I have a house (someday) I will probably concentrate more on the garden. I also want to have a koi pond so perhaps I want to make gardening fishy too? My husband is surprised. I often pick up a hobby and drop it after 6 months or so, he's proud I have stuck with this one. I think I was just looking for the right hobby!

I like the picture that is second from the bottom. It is really cool. Do the anenmonies wave their tentacles around? That would be so cool.

Those are some cool pics! Good luck with the babies!

I am using my Ikea mortar and pestle right now!

Thanks for the tip Sue! I have been looking for something exactly like that at around that price! I will be going to buy it tomorrow.

Thanks. That floating plant is the one you gave me Nick. It has grown! Oh, also sorry about the darkness of the pictures. I don't know why it's like that. Perhaps I need to upgrade the lighting in my tank?

It may not be an award winner, but this pic is the first time I used some design ideas when aquascaping my tank. I am amazed at how sitting down and thinking about the wood placement first makes it look better.

Yes, they have lots of hidey-holes. I see them come in and out of the driftwood a lot. I have been told that the more you see them the more secure they feel.

Will my synodontis petricola get along with my corycats? The synos are not quite twice the size of the corys. I thought that I should ask since I mixed some fish earlier today with negative results. I decided that the baby swords were ready to move back in with mommy and daddy since they are at least a month old. Well, my kerri tetras snapped those babies up. Ate every last one of them. Crap. So much for that.

I did not know snakes could be cute. How are you going to find 26 good homes for them? Good luck!

That fish looks like an explosion in a paint factory! By that, I mean it's incredibly beautiful. You should be proud! If you ever feel the urge to post more pics of this fish, act on that impulse!

That is a neat picture! What a way for the little baby to see the world!
