Nice job!

Nice tangs!

Thanks, guys. I feed them some NLS at the front of the tank about 15 minutes before shooting to get them out.

Annubias nana is an option too.

Should have apologized for taking the pictures right after a water change! -
I am experimenting with using my flash over top of the tank.

Nice to see you back posting "Pics of the Vics"! Beautiful specimens. -
You know, Jonah, when I went to post a picture here to see if the IMG tags were working, I previewed my post and I could see my pics and yours. But then I went back out and checked this topic and still couldn't see your pictures. Weird. Nice pictures by the way! Sorry I can't be any help.

I've used egg crate in some tanks and not in others. I put it in my 150 because it is so tall and had so many rocks that I was worried that some might fall down, but I don't honestly know if it made any difference. Point being, I won't be putting any in my other tanks, especially the smaller ones. Like timbruun said, I don't think filter floss is the answer. Egg crate is cheap anyways if you want some potential peace of mind. Not scratching the bottom glass? You are treating your tanks far better than I have ever treated mine. Unless the egg crate is cut to be really snug on the bottom of the tank, it still could scratch the bottom glass once you have sand in and start moving things around. HTH

Thanks, Jason. I would love to come over and take some pics! I'll PM you about when we can set something up. Thanks. -
You just cut a small piece of tubing. That way you can make it as long or short as you want. Does he mean that one set of valves on one hose should point up, and one set of valves on the other hose should point down? Does it matter which one points in which direction? I never find the double tap connectors an issue to figure out because they are on different size tubing on the 2217, correct? I put them both near the canister so that it is easier for me to disconnect. I think he means you put the male and female ends for each connector in different alignment. For example, on the intake hose the double tap connector half with the male connector will be on the side of the hose that attaches directly to the canister whereas the female connector half will be on the part of the intake house that does not directly connect to the canister. On the output hose, the connector half with the female connector will be on the part of the hose that directly attaches to the top of the canister. The male part will be on the piece of hose that goes directly to the spray bar. To be honest, I don't think it makes any difference. Good pick up. Classics rock!

3 minutes for the answer...nicely done, Jason! Thanks.

How do you induce a sword plant to send out a flower stock which creates little plants? I remember something about changing lighting periods, but maybe I am thinking of something else. Thanks.
