  3. I know saltwater would be soooooo much easier. 19.5 cups of salt a 250w MH pendant and 25 pounds more of live rock (that I already in a tub) and viola...and it would be a lot easier to pick the fish. still trying to convince the wife
  4. Ok talked to some people at B.A they also said no. So now I'm thinks of south american dwafs, are these known as shellies also? I do already have bolivian rams in another tank that have spawned once, I think they may have spawned again because one hid inside a hollow log for a couple days. I do like german, and gold rams also. Maybe a collection of rams or some other dwarfs and maybe angel fish for the top half?? Here is a pic of one that muck posted it looks awesome Apistogramma Cacatuoides 'Double Red'
  5. Petsmart... tank, stand and light $300

Well here is going to be my 1st dip in cichids the tank has been cycling almost a month now levels are fine so this weekend I'm going to put some danios in to help cycle some more. I am probably going to need a little help through this I know I know it is not an ideal tank for cichlids but its the best I got. So far the only fish I am set on is an electric yellow labs I would like something blue and red also
  9. Tetras....some last years some last months perfectly fine one day tits up the next they never show signs of ill health or stress. I'm getting into cichlids soon so I hope there better. Hey Josh nice seeing you again you looked different haircut?what did you get from Lee? I got the sun coral you gonna have any orange digi at the meet? M
  10. SW monthly FW every couple weeks cause there so finiky....but I voted I don't have a test kit but i have do the dip strip one
  11. Yeah to me that sounds like a bunch of shat. I have bought 7 saltwater fish in the last year and only 1 died and it took 8 months for that to happen, It was an impulse buy and I never researched it and he slowly starved (too small of tank too little food). So I would say it is not the fish it is care, water conditions, stress. SW fish are very easy to care for IME
  12. I'm going to guess at a peanut worm Peanut Worm
  13. Thanks It took a couple weeks no more than a month it was fairly easy just have to be a fast typer I just sold about 10 frags of xenia outta it and some zoos so It's slowly trying to pay for itself. As for the cleaner wrasse that wasn't me....unless you are talking of the 6-lined wrasse that was me and he is doing great always cruising for pods and being fat is what he loves
  14. Here is the details of my ghetto reef if you watch for the deals you can do it cheap Ghetto Reef
  15. Actually it is a semi-cube 18X20X301/2H will this make a difference?
  16. Need a little help picking some fish. We decided to do another tank but cichlids this time. I have 25 years FW and a 1 1/2 years saltwater experience, but no cichlid experience (Unless rams and angelfish count). The tank is a 47G with a pengiun 350 HOB filter and about 30 pounds of limestone tuffa rock. I am having a bit of trouble finding some info on the fish I want (research before you buy right?) Everything I find is not newbie freindly with all the latin names and stuff. I have 3 fish in mind and I wanna know if there are compatible? or if a 47G is to small. I know bigger is better but the spot we wanted to put it this was the biggest we could. The fish that are in question is: Electric yellows (labs?) Electric blues Red peacocks Any help is appreciated Murm
  17. Look good Jason I like that pot idea
