  1. Did you use a program for that, I like the way the kerf is taken into account by the cut sequence. Usually the first couple three cuts are free, and a small charge after that. I only see a couple of cuts they would be unwilling or unable to do but those are for the braces. Hopefully you will get a guy that knows how to use the saw not one that thinks he knows, because your tolerances are awfull tight. Excellent in its simplicity I hope it all works for you.
  2. Just letting the pondaneers know that Adidas has 2 950 gallon per hour pumps for 100 dollars each, which IMO is a good price for pondmaster pond pumps...... say that fast 3 times
  3. I guess I won't be getting that special order I placed for the pair of plecos
  4. Here you go.. just a sec ok here http://s6.invisionfree.com/AlbertaAquatica...?showtopic=2503
  5. Looks like my male Nyerei if he was dressed up like Rambo Cool Fish BTW
  6. Check out this thread http://s6.invisionfree.com/AlbertaAquatica...?showtopic=2776 Myself I went to some of the lakes and sloughs and collected what was interesting.Just wear boots and bring a shovel and a tub to put them. Some of the ones I gathered you can see in the picture of my pond.
  7. Does sound like a good deal. Check to see the size and type of uv lamp thats in it, and check to see if it is the same as the ones Pet Smart on Macleod have in their clearance aisle for around 15 dollars. The UV bulbs lose efficiency over time and if you can get an extra lamp cheap... BTW If you don't have a pump yet PM Adidas for the pumps he has in the buy and sell. I saw one of them today and it looks like it would do the trick Seriously the pumps he is selling for $100 are 950 GPH. Here is more info http://www.petsolutions.com/Pondmaster+Mag...5-I-C-2-C-.aspx Remember price shown is US from what I have seen you can at least double price locally.
  8. Guess we know who is in Tom's prettiest pictures. Regards Harold
  9. Ted if you are looking for water hyacynth or water lettuce you can try Canadian tire or Rona. I liked going to the big Balzac garden center, they had lots of stuff. If you want some native stuff contact me and I will give you some, just have to tear a chunk off the root ball. Let us know
  10. Here you go Sir I hope this helps
  11. IMO the 80 + litre tubs that they have at walmart for about 5 dollars would work well, they have rope handles. FYI. Canadian tire has whole whiskey barrels for 30 something. In theory you could make 2. A nice addition to a whisky barrel pond would be a bamboo deer scarer that is available at the big garden center in Balzac. With a tiny statuary pump you would get the sound of running water and goldfish seem fascinated by it
  12. Welcome Sarah, I put a 20 gal in an old console TV once. You used to be able to buy those old Macs at Computer surplus for 99 cents a pound, yes they used to sell it by weight. :welcome:
  13. If he skins the stand across the back there should not be any sway. If I was doing it I would skin 3 sides put a bulkhead in behind the 10 gallons and put a door on one side which would give a storage area of 1' by 2' by 4' approximately across the back to store lamps, or a canister or dead or live snakes less than 4 ft long.
  14. The "oil slick" effect has been documented on other threads with different theories on what causes it. It hasn't affected my fish in any noticable manner.
  15. I was kinda waiting on Robs opinion before voicing mine but here goes. Those 10s will not be very viewable or accessable stuffed in lengthwise, with I assume the AC minis to the rear I drew this VERY quickly to show you a possible alternative. The bottom view is an end view which would incorperate storage on the rear side.
  16. I use the same sand in a "sandbox" for my labs, powder blues, red zebras etc. The blues especially love digging and cavorting in the stuff. There is of course different varieties of sand blast sand. look at it under magnifier to be sure. BTW I think there is no swimming pool sand in Lethbridge because there are no swimming pools...... the water keeps blowing away
  17. Sure fire way to sex these fish, if little round objects start ejecting from rump region it is girl, If fish is carrying, is girl or male sick with the mumps.
  18. My experience was that my Gouramis can swim faster scared than my Cichlids can mad. As I showed you when you were at my house they seemed to calm the cichlids down and none of the gouramis are missing fins or feelers. But you are right there are probably more obvious choices. BTW my fish are now pushing 6 to 7 inches and the gouramis are about 4. The king of the tank right now is a 3 inch male red zebra that I got from Riverfront. He has chewed on my 6 inch nyerei's tail but doesn't touch the gouramis
  19. I have large gouramis in my tank, because they are open swimmers (don't hide) the ciclids, I understand, interpret this as there being no outside threat or predator with the result of the cichlids being less skittish. I think any fish that doesn't mind being in with cichlids and does not generally use hiding as first defence would be good.
  20. How long has your tank been up and running? How long have you had the other fish in the tank? How long ago did you buy the angels? One comment, perform water changes and test your water. Please let us know so that we can help you better. Harold
  21. Guess the fish are not accellerating laterally at a rate that would be conducive for the feces to separate from the fish in questions anal tract in more acceptable length and girth. I just absolutely, positively, had to say that. Hey you have to see a Ranchu Goldfish poop, it looks like a curly fuse coming out of his butt and I can picture lighting it, of course most fuses have a great deal of difficulty staying lit under water. :baby:
  22. Can't get it up either......... the picture I mean of course.
  23. Very very nice tank, is that helped along with CO2? It is a tank, us with big cichlids could only dream about. Truly shows what you can do with a 10 gallon tank.
  24. Gee I like the orangy red better......... Kidding, awesome change with awesome food.
