We recently said good bye to the oldest member of our aquarium community. Flip Flop was an upside down cat and he was with us for a good 10 years.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. If I can ever get myself organized and become a little more computer literate then maybe I could post my Costa Rica Pictures online to share as well. Hmmmm computer literacy; could that be a resolution for me????????

found some mystery babies in my tank

Glad you solved your mystery. I never manage to see any babies in my tank as the eggs become a tasty snack. -

Hmmmmm .... immaculate fishception??? Is there a bright light somewhere in the vast amounts of water? :hey: Or what about a new level of Fishevolution ... could they have evolved over a period of time from tiny little cells to those cutsie little fish? Hope I've got all areas of creation vs. evolution covered for you. Just wanted to help out with a few more ideas. -
What nice teeth you have there little fishie. I hope it's not all the better to chomp the fingers that clean the tank with!

I guess one shouldn't light a fire after just using hand sanitizer. I'll have to keep it in mind next time we're having a problem starting our campfires. A new lesson on survival firemaking for the boys.

IN addition to the Hikari algae wafers, my pl*co also gets fresh zucchini, english cucumber and cooked peas (skins removed). The other pigs in my aquarium also enjoy this stuff so I have to remember to sometimes feed at night after lights out.

Sorry to hear you had to say good bye so quickly.

There are many advantages to it being a 2006. You still have a good amount of warranty and hopefully somebody else took that first hit of depreciation. Gee had I known you were looking, I sold a 2007 BMW X3 a few months ago.

I'll be watching this with interest as my son's 10 gal (planted) is heavily infested. Right now my method is getting him to go in there and pick out snails. We have 2 kuhli loaches, but I don't think they do much with the snails. He also has a fighting fish in there so I have to be careful with what I put in.

Another great shot Patrick. That really shows the pucker power behind sucking up fry. My personal favorite is still the first fry sucking shot.

Great pictures. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. It's been a couple of years since we camped at Pembina.

Gosh, I'm brilliant today! I figured it out all by myself.

You look absolutely MARVELOUS! Can anybody post an icon picture and how's it done?
-
That's a good shot too, though not as spectacular as the first one.

I find that my red blue columbians aren't nippy in comparison to the other fish I have in with them.

Paradise pets in st.albert re-opening
nicolalex replied to duff's topic in General Aquaria Discussion
I haven't been to paradise pets in years. I'll have to go and check it out. A fishy reason is a very good reason to leave the house. -
Good Luck in restarting. Unless I've misread/misunderstood something, my biggest concern would be the cycling process with a heavily stocked tank as that could start a whole new mess. Is there anyplace you can farm out some of your fish while you slowly cycle?

We're looking to obtain a bouvier. I guess one can call it a list If everything falls into place we're hoping for a puppy from a litter born late this year so it will be next year before we have a puppy. Long wait, but the right dog is worth the wait. My last dog (Old English Sheep Dog crossed with Irish Wolfhound) was a mutt that we picked up at the SPCA. We couldn't have asked for better. If you check my profile I have his picture posted.

Awe how cute. Makes me really miss my dog. The waiting list for the next one is a long slow process.

That's a great shot. I think it would make a great icon picture for you. Gee there goes my SICK sense of HA HA again.

If I'm only gone for a weekend I throw some food in just before I leave (usually a generous amount) and then I feed when I get back. It's worked for me for now. When we go on a longer trip I have a friend come in 2 or 3 times a week and that's when the fish get fed. It's less than they're used to, but again it has never harmed them. I find 2 or 3 times a week feeding much better than using the feeder I have.

I always use the water for my houseplants and I never have to use fertilizer either. My pride and joy is a 7' fig tree that looks absolutely lucious all year and barely drops leaves even in the winter. In the summer I use any extra outside in my planters. My outdoor tub water gets drained directly into a flowerbed.

YOu could try calling Michaels and see what they have. I know there is dark green stuff for artificial plant arrangements or flower arrangements.
