  7. Very nice! I have noticed that your new camera doesn't take as good of pictures, but they are still better than anything that i have done! nev
  8. Congrats... i say this because now you have an excuse to by more tanks for grow out! worked for me and my wife! nev
  9. The phono that i have posted is old... i'll have to take an updated one. he is flaking out a lot more now... i'll get a new pic this weekend and post to show his progress! He is so much more happy now that i have seperated him from most of my mbuna! nev
  10. If you were planning on breeding these fish possibly and selling them... then I would agree. I have kept a group of Saulosi with a small group of yellow labs and have never had a problem. The Yellow labs are less aggressive compared to the Saulosi but share a similar yellow with the female Saulosi. the question right now boils down to what colors do you want to have in your tank, and where you can find the fish you are looking for! if you are planning on going with Cyan's and Labs, make sure you get in contact with African_Fever as he will have the best stock available. There was a member (chloe_close) that had a 90 gal tank full of Cyan's, Labs, and Zebras... it was a very nice looking tank with plenty of color! Punman also has very nice yellow labs from what I hear. make sure to pick up a couple BN Plecos as well as Jason suggested... you won't regret it! nev
  11. Pheno White Top Afra Male White Top Afra Fry nev
  12. F1 Male Saulosi. - My Pride and Joy! Socolofi nev A juvie Rusty
  13. Should be a nice tank no matter what you put in it! word of caution... i have kept saulosi and red zebras in the same tank and they have alway fought for alpha male in the tank. Not saying that it will happen for sure... but just a thought. nev
  14. I'm looking forward to the next auction as well, as i missed the last one. My wife wanted to celebrate our 1 year anniversary or something... can't wait though! nev
  15. Great shots! how big is the BN pleco? nev
  16. In the words of Napoleon Dynamite: "Lucky" nev
  17. I just wanted to warn you that Africans (particularly Mbuna) are more addicting that crack! Lots of options to choose from! Another concern is may not beable to find the exact fish you want at a LFS or from a local breeder. You may have to get an order shipped to you depending on what you are looking for! http://www.cichlid-forum.com/index.php take a read into Cichlid Forum and you'll find more information than you expected! nev
  18. http://albertaaquatica.com/index.php?showtopic=3632&hl= I found this topic from a while back... Sammy bought an Aquagiant Tank with the built in filter and if i remember correctly, it worked out well for him. You may want to PM Sammy if these are the same tanks. Congrats! nev
  19. Are these the tanks from Aquagiant? Congrats on the getting the perfect present! the question is will your husband let you set it up before christmas to start cyclying and be ready for fish on christmas? nev
  20. Very nice Msobo's... they should grow up to be beauties! what ratio do you have of Males to Females? nev
  21. With lots of rock work/caves you may beable to get away with a small group of mbuna like what Val has suggestes. If you do go with Mbuna you will have to watch for aggression as the dominant male may rip into anything and everything... What colors do you like? this may help with the first set of fish for a new tank... nev
  22. Great shots of some beautiful fish! nev
  23. Started with Guppies... I currently Breed Mbuna PS Saulosi, Rustys, Red Zebra, I did breen white top afras and Yellow labs as well. In the future i would like to breed Polits, A. Lwandas, and possible Bristol nose plecos... Lots of fun as well as an excuse to get new tanks to raise the babies! nev
