  1. They find the strangest places to spawn... I once had a pair lay their eggs on some airline tubing, with an airstone attached.... I guess they must just get bored...
  2. Hey Harold, Just wondering if/when you'll ever be getting some Killifish in? Thanks.
  3. Haha, thanks! I'm not too worried about the neons, I was told that my massive angelfish would eat my neons, but they don't seem to eat very many neons I'm gonna put up an ad right now! Thanks for the help! Dan
  4. Thanks. Yeah, I definitely thought the 10 would be too small for them. Your sure the killies won't bother the rams or any of the smaller fish in the tank? Which brings me to my next question, where would I be able to buy a good quality pair? Thanks for the help! Dan
  5. Hi I have a 135 gallon planted community tank. I was at the CAS auction last weekend, admiring the gorgeous Killifish and wondering if they would work in my setup? I have about: 5 german blue rams, one long fin 3 Bolivian red rams 15 zebra danios 12 - 20 neon tetras 15 small, medium, and large angels 1 small algae eater 1 red tailed black shark 4 or 5 clown loaches and 2 black skirt tetras. I was just wondering if I could perhaps introduce something like a pair of blue gularis? Or something colourful if you have any suggestions... I also have a 10 gallon tank I could house them in, but not sure if that would be big enough? Thanks for the help! Dan
  6. This has happened to me before, I have tried a couple of things. 1. Remove the fish that you believe is bullying the other, so as not to stress the hurt fish further 2. If you can, move the breeder tank so it is right up against your community tank, this diverts the fishes attention to the fish in your community tank 3. Use a small, tough dither fish, like a zebra danio, or a small tetra, to allow the angels to focus on chasing off the other fish, instead of fighting, the fish should be small enough so that it is not a threat to the eggs 4. Or if none of this works, move the pair back to the community tank to ''bond again'', then try moving them back into the breeder tank in about 2 - 4 weeks once both fish are recovered. Hopefully this helps! Good luck!
  7. Thanks. Yes, they are very fun, and hardy too. Several of my other rams I got from other sources have become sick, and died, but not your bolivian rams. They are tough. Thanks for putting me on the hold list!
  8. Hi Harold. The bolivian red rams I bought from you have spawned. Since someone else mentioned it, I would be interetsed in 2, or 3 of the Pinoy Paraiba veils. Threadfin would be nice, but it is not really neccesary. Thanks for help.
  9. Hi, Welcome to Alberta Aquatica. I also breed angelfish. What kinds do you breed?
  10. Couldn't you just use 2 extension cords for a while?... I don't know... Good luck!!
  11. I know, hahaha I'm on the hold list!
  12. They are probably Ken Kennedy's from the Phillipines. He was the one who originally imported nearly all of the blue angelfish varities into Canada and the United States. His fish are absolutely stunning. Here are some links to his videos... Actually Ken is not who brought them into Canada. But most of the Phillipine Blue angels are descendants from his stock. Sorry wording error. I believe he was the one to bring them into North America(United States I believe) where they were bred. Then, breeders began to sell them all over the place and now they're even sold here... Right?

  14. When my angels breed, I use Hydrogen Peroxide, it works great. I use 1mL per gallon, every 12 hours, so in 5 gallon tnak, they get 10mL of Hydrogen Peroxide per day. Good luck!!
  15. Did any of the little Clowns make it??
  16. Hey Vince! When I gave my Black lace angelfish their own tank it looked very similar to this. I'm not sure if your going to let them parent raise in that tank or if your gonna pull the eggs. If your going to let them parent raise in that tank, you should take the gravel out. Once the fry go free-swimming, they will immediately go into the gravel, get stuck and die. Just something to consider.... Like the look of the tank though, very nice. Good luck!! Dan
  17. Any of them at a sellable size... I would be interested.... Good luck!
  18. Not sure if this is too late but I do keep angelfish and discus together and have not had a proble yet. Knock on wood... The discus seems fine and does not pick on the angelfish or vice versa...
  19. Wow the planted tanks are very beautiful and the angelfish is nice! Good work 5*
  20. That is an unbelievable aquarium! I bought my 135 gallon tank off a guy who had 10!!! As big and bigger than yours[no offense!] Your arowana is one of the nicest I have ever seen though!

  22. Good luck with the fry  . I have about 100 or so wigglers right now and I am hoping to get some nice high coverage koi angels. Keep us posted!
  23. I find that guppies fry are easy to tell apart, Just find 2 that look the same[same color, same size, or very close] and the other one is the odd man out!
