Just wondering for fun which aspects of the hobby least interest you. Not trying to cause problems, just curious. For me it's a bunch of big fish in a big tank, abet small in comparison to them. Also never really got into discus and plecos.

From what I have found that light contains 24 1w leds which isn't really powerful enough to grow plants in a 4' tank.

If it was me Id make him an indoor pond in the basement.

I do that also. Before you know it you've spend hours researching and then you still don't know lol.

I'd do a biotope with 3 big shoals of small fish in a nature aquarium style.

I'm planning on doing something similar for a fw planted tank. I'm planning on using mr16's instead of gu10's. I feel much better with 12v over and open top aquarium than 120v. If it were me, Id get two huge schools of pygmy corys and ember tetras like 30 each. You could go with dwarf gouramis or dwarf sa cichlids (apistos,rams,nannacars). For plants id recommend java fern, anubias and cryptocoryne wendtii.
