I have 52 tanks and I use aquaclears. I find them to be very effective and adjustable. I refill my own charcoal and ammonia remover. It's cheaper that way, Something I have to think about with 52 tanks...lol

I have both bamboo right under water and partly submersed. They have been in the tanks for over a year and all of them are thriving. This is just a personal experience, not documented

same i'm raising and breeding red empress, red zebras spot bars and day glows...oh and convicts..i have tons of black and pink fry. actually to be given away. preference is given to someone who wants them all. need room for more...as you know they breed like crazy. when ever i get rid of a batch (low and behold theres more) lol

Hi yes I have stripped them with egg spots and I have males with them.Look for the bulging mouth seems most accurate. Thanks for the input. Sorry just seen your reply .Didn't know to check here yet lol

Hi I think I may have been misinformed.I was told it the male cichlids have the eggs spots.My female just had fry and she has egg spots? So maybe not just males have these?
