  1. +1 ckmullin i have 3 assassins in each of my tanks and got control of snails booms.
  2. Assassins are best bet as most loaches need a lot bigger tank.
  3. Looking for some glass for a 4' 150gallon tank lid. Looking at getting glass cut for this. Where is the best/affordable place to get few pieces cut. 22 1/8" x 13 and 22 1/8 x5" as a flip opening.
  4. You'll use them all. Very nice pieces i got. It was the poor customer service that irked me. Hope all goes well for you
  5. Ordered on a Thursday and said he shopson ffollowing Mon or Tuesday. My notification came 3 weeks later that was just shipped. Received about 2.5 weeks after that so in total was around 6 weeks from order date. Like i said very nice driftwood but i thought i got dupped but i did get eventually. So if no delay to get packed and shipped takes 4weekish. Stuff i got with shipping was around 110$ if bought in LFS would cost over 250$ for sure. So wait is worth it i guess
  6. http://www.manzanita-driftwood.com/ I ordered 3 branchlike pieces from here all came in great shape... however there customer service after they recieve payment is the worst i ever had. was way cheaper here though with shipping then buying at a LFS. they have pics of the actual piece you receive which is nice also. just be warned about possible crap customer service after payment if you order via them.
  7. Ya they are very cute. Gonna have to tear all rock out just to catch and relocate in my sump grow out.
  8. Cleaning my mbuna tank this past week and what do i see within my 300lbs or rock rubble is some babies about 1". Hard to count due too 10,000 hiding spots but managed to see 3 at same time. Hoping for more but super excited about them. Breeding stock in tank are F1's. More than likely sell them at next auction. Happy Xmas too me!!
  9. Sounds like fully stocked now CL require fairly large tanks to thrive. Slow growers but will become monsters eventually. Just my opinion.
  10. Welcome and bigger tanks ARE better for beginners IMO allows mistakes as larger volume if water takes longer to get serious compared to smaller tanks. please look up cycling it is the first mistake new guys make... read old posts on forum as lots of good info here. Need something answered just ask... rather you ask then not ask and hurt your new love ones.... side note it always starts with 1 tank...soon you'll have multiple. But welcome again.
  11. Came home with more than i wanted lol. magazines galore few fish for existing tanks. 8 air pumps ( never have too many) Bio balls , silk plants for daughters 20gal betta tank. Got some @$$ snails and few too many plants. met a lot of new people too. Can put a face too forum name. Was fun until next time all new fish all doing well in tanks
  12. Or a larger cooler if planning on buying a lot!!
  13. I would be able to donate some if you need too...lol. Started with small handful now covers my 36 bowfront easily. I even toss few handfuls every few weeks into buddy koi pond
  14. Just received my led light. plug it in to check it out... blinded myself to the point I'm still seeing black dots 10 min later. Needless to say it is bright. Cant wait to put on tank on weekend. Might need to adjust co2 inputs. My estimate is light is 3-4x brighter than my light on it now. Thinking about and actually buying new light was a great decision so far. Very impressed with light output. only downside i see is the "moonlight" feature not on own power supply but wasn't a deal breaker.
  15. I'll be bringing a boatload of cash.
  16. Have 8 tanks only 1 has a lid. Had tanks for 15+ years and only had 2 fish jump out. So depends on fish. Don't really see issue with fiberglass screen.. you could get glass cut too

    Greeting...

Welcome and finding fry is the best feeling.
  18. Ordered the led light for my planted tank. $86 for light. Have co2 already for tank. Delivering next week and will update my results with new led light.
  19. Thinking about "updating" lighting now too on my 36 gallon planted bowfront tank. finnex 30" planted $85 shipped. Sounds decent to me. anyone try the finnex planted light fixture? Opinions?
  20. Ya i will be going to auction too so if still need or in setup stage i can bring some for ya. Only thing i have in my shellie tank is sand and shells they buried about 15 shells on day one and they are still buried. Once girlfriend locates her camera ill do a journal of tank.
  21. If you need some of the best shells in my opinion for shellies. Think i have a dozen or 2 left. I'll sell a dozen for $20. Very good shells for them. I'm sure Jason will vouch for them also. No rush if you need as there in my "fish box of extras" and not going anywhere fast. Ill check archives for a pic of shells
  22. I wouldn't do both Brevis and multies in same tank. Do synos instead of BN. Fry won't survive if there is other fish in tank so won't get the colony of shell dweĺlers you hope for. Tank your size I'd start with 6 adults of brevis or multiples. decor in tank approx 1" of sand and 4piles of shells spread out over bottom of tank. 1 good sponge filter will suffice also can toss an small HOB with a sponge on intake. they will reset sand and shells to there liking. not much colour in just species tank but so fun to watch colony grow.
  23. I got a 40gallon breeder for my multis. Started with 6 now have original 6 and 20-30 others from fry to sub adults. One of my favorite tanks

    Hello

    Wave hello!! Welcome aboard!!!
  25. Nice.. but i do enjoy the maintenance on my tanks. Keeps me out of trouble and other jobs around house and my better half always knows where i am every sat or Sunday. I got 4 larger tanks that require a lot of attention 180 135 90 75 plus 4 smaller tanks. Still very nice setup there.
