Do you have a picture ?

A few more Pics I have been trying to improve the red body and blue face in my Eureka peacocks the last couple years by selective line breeding. Here is my current breeder male I am using. I introduced an albino gene into my German red peacocks a couple years ago. It is still work in progress to get a very red body. Wild caught Aulonocara sp. blue neon from undu point. These guys came in a few weeks ago .

Looking For Fish To Borrow For School
JORG replied to fatpuffer's topic in General Aquaria Discussion
mmmmmm I think I have a SA black Piranha I could lend for a for awhile. -
I was out of town working for a week. Returned last nite and checked the tanks and everything looked good, didn't notice anything missing. They seemed a little hungrier than usual thou.
-
They look great. Have them marked off on the Asian exporters list once we have a little tank space.

You were most likely using gill nets not seine nets. Seine nets do not harm fish .
-
I bought my net 20 years ago for about 30 bucks lol. Not sure what they cost now. Electro shockers just stun the fish and make em float to the top. I have never used one or built one but there is alot of info available on google.

You can pick up 20' seine nets at the fishing hole or rig up an electro shocker

I'm always for the look out for these worms as I get a lot of wild caught Apisto's . I have read many times these fish come in with worms but have never seen any,. Perhaps my quarrentine period which includes a couple days of clout is knocking them out ? or I could just be in need of glasses - not sure
-
I know this won't help but I have a question -- where are you guys getting these worm things from ?

The way I understand it is you can run as much as they are rated for or more. It is back pressure from not having enough outlets running that causes harm to these pumps. I have several outlets on each pump that I use to bleed excess air. Not sure about the psi thing as I never measured it. I would go for more power than you need it gives you the option of adding more airstones or sponge filters should you need them. Just bleed any excess pressure. I think they make a bleeder valve for this purpose but I have not used one yet.

Could be an egg tube.

I only see 7 fish in a photo tank.

I have to agree with Spruce. I have 7 adults in a 125 and it seems crowded. But I'm new to Discus keeping so am still learning. I would however suggest adding a bit more filtration to the tank. Left over food and crap ferment fairly fast at 86 degrees so I prefer to have a lot of filtration in their tanks.

I wouldn't worry about the glass. There was a youtube video posted here a few years ago (can not find now) where a guy piled like 15 cinder blocks in a 10 gallon tank and it still didn't break. If you can carry it --you are good.
