Vallisneria
Cherry shrimp for everyone!!! I bought 10 from Jason at the last auction, and they have now turned into zillions. I"ll be bringing a couple bags to the auction  I was just wondering how long an adult shrimp lives, as I noticed that one of my original adults had died this morning. TheGr8Blade
From what I have found on the web is that they live 18 to 24 months.
jvision
I find that in a heated environment, they are a bit more short-lived than the 18-24 months. For the last 2-3 months, I have been seeing about 3 dead shrimp per month... 3 out of Zillions isn't too bad.
Vallisneria
Jason what temp are you keeping your shrimps at? Right now my tank is about 79*. Its a shrimp only tank so maybe I should turn the temp down a bit if they like it cooler.
jvision
Mine are in my fishroom, where it's about 75-77 on the floor, 5F warmer at the ceiling. When I started them, they were in an unheated 10 in my office, so whatever room temp happened to be at the time - probably around 70. They still multiplied like crazy, then. Albertan
Out of curiosity, are these kept as pets in a community tank or used as feeders?
