Im not sure what people think of this idea but i have had ich on mine before and i had a friend tell me to turn up my temp to 82 degrees for 2 weeks. Seemed to work, the spots went away and the eggs still hatched. It hasn't come back and the temp is back to about 78.

Are you sure its not little nips? the female could be nipping him to protect the eggs, or it could be small injuries from pit digging, oh and theres always sand/fecies etc that could have just landed there, but it is ich id you try the salt and temp method before you try the meds, meds can really mess up your water properties

I often treat ick on new fish simply by controlling the temperature. When I worked at a petstore, I found that changing them temperature often worked better than medicine, and with the use of both temp and Med's, you should be able to heal it up quickly.

When I suspect ick or stress, I run a temperature from 82-84.

Ick is rare in my tanks thank god, but when I do get ick, it spreads to every single clownloach I have. GRRRR.

Ich meds will not harm the eggs or prevent them from hatching. And it may be best to loose a batch of eggs rather then loosing the parents.

The temp increase and salt will help if not, I would treat to be on the safe side!!!!! Remember to remove the carbon insert from your filter while treating with meds!!!!
