Severum safe plants

I've found that if adults are bored, they'll chew up anything - in my tank, nothing lasted: Val, Java Fern, Anubias... they loved punching holes in my swords the most.

Crypts seemed to do the best, but I think it's just b/c there was so many other choices - the larger wendtii leaves got a beating, tho.

Jonah - are you certain that you have H. notatus? Most severums found in these parts are Heros efasciatus. They should be just fine with your other fish listed, in a 125, but if they pair off the 'outsider' will have to be removed.

They are looking good Jonah.

Yes they are H. Notatus. Had a lot of people check the father out on different sites and They all came back

saying he is a H Notatus. Here is a link to a picture of dad.

I do have them. BUT I think the "female" may actually be a male. There is not fighting or anything but I am suspecting it is another male. I will have to look for another female...unless by EBJD is a female hence the no fighting.

Just give up your EBJD and I can take it from you...lol. They can live nicely in a 125ish tank.
