cichlidmomwanabe
Hi, I just hope he is not the same as the member before me. My guy has a different coloring on his fins. I got him as a unknown and would like to know lol.
Boom
Looks like a Ruby red, but too much blue in the tail and dorsal. Maybe a hybrid? Lots of "unknown" peacocks are hybrids. I have a few too. Boom :boom:
randy
Could be this guy? http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http...l%3Den%26sa%3DN
Lana Bollers
Could be this guy? http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http...l%3Den%26sa%3DN I agree it looks like a borleyi to me as well. I first thought red empress, because his head is not as blue, but he had to much blue in the finage and looked an aweful lot like my guy, but my guy came to me in full color this guy is just getting his color in... so it makes it a bit more challenging. Boom
It might be a red fin borleyi, but the spots are more indicative of a peacock to me. Boom :boom:

Fishful Thinking
I am thinking it a peacock too. How big is it?
Vallisneria
My guess would be some kind of red peacock. Do you have a picture that shows the profile of his head? Peacocks have bumpy faces that are covered in pits and grooves, Borleyi have smooth faces. They also have different head shapes.
