byte
I found a owls nest next to the road where I could stand up in the back of a semi and take some pictures... Mom Owl flew away when I parked. Baby owl is not too worried about me. A hawk flew overhead and mom is back to the nest in a hurry. The above pictures were taken in less than 30 seconds from first to last. Baby comes back up for a look around.

Wingin' It
I love seeing wild animals in the wild! It's nice to see nature out there! My hubby saw a couple owlets last year outside of Calgary but when we went by a few weeks later we discovered their bodies were mulched up by a mower...very sad. They're such beautiful birds! Ishkabod
I LOVE OWLS. They are soooo amazing. It's a tie between The Great Horned Owl and the Snowy Owl for me for my fave land animal of North America. I've never seen one in the wild but i hope to someday. Thanks so much for sharing these wonderful photos. L
