snaggle
I have heard that BN plecos are hit and miss. They will need a very good spot to hide from the rays though.
roninkenshin
I have a royal plec in mine that seems to do a good job. Edited June 30, 2009 by roninkenshin
turtlechick
No hickeys from either kind? I also have an arowana. He wouldn't bother a pleco would he?
skynoch
I've also heard good things about BN plecos. The silver should be a safe bet. Is your tank in direct sunlight for most of the day? If it isn't your nitrates may be getting to high for rays.
turtlechick
There is quite a bit of sunlight. I have huge windows in my shop, so I do belive that it's sunlight :-)
TanisD
I would say try a bunch of red onion snails they are way too slow to even have a chance to latch on to the stingrays and they are awesome for algae. The only risk is in your rays have a taste for snails they may become lunch.
rudy
Bristle nose are the best. All other plecos I have tried will eventually suck the rays slime. I have tried many Edited July 30, 2009 by rudy
Kraken
I'm starting to get some aglae in the tank.....what is a good ray-friendly cleaning crew? I have a high fin leopard pleco in with mine. BettaFishMommy
why not increase maintenance on the tank to keep the algae in check instead of adding more creatures?
