jesp
I have a 33 gallon that is 36" x 12" x 18" with 1/4 inch glass. There is no 'cross bar' thing across the middle. The previous users used it for fish....if I am not mistaken, and I left it overnight filled with water a few weeks ago and it held fine. I just set it up for use as my grow out tank, but I am a little nervous because I am wondering if it is strong enough. Do I have any need for concern? I am going out of town this evening in a few hours, so I need to know if I need to make some quick changes. Please help!

jvision
Most 33's aren't braced across the tank.
jesp
Most 33's aren't braced across the tank. So that means that it is going to be alright? Is there any reason at all that there should be cause to worry? I really have no experience with the structural integrity of a tank. Yes, ok, most likely I am over reacting, but if I wanted to add support somehow, what is the best way to do it?

H22_TURBO
I have a 33, no center brace, it bows, for 2 years now and still holds water today. I'm sure yours will be ok Edited August 13, 2009 by H22_TURBO
