polleni-puffer
I'de say go for it. Just make sure they have lots of places to hide ,and watch them for the first half hour.
epiphany
Did a bit of looking and came upon this: http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=29402 . It seems like to get a proper number you'd be overstocking your tank.
Sierra
You could try, 15 is a bit small though. I would go for different fish and let her have her space.
fishclubgirl
Lady bettas can be nippy, depending on if they've been jarred or not. I do keep a sorority tank but I keep about 6 females in there, to spread out the aggression. In my experience, longer finned(and red) bettas can be more aggressive(or plakats don't show the effects of fin nipping). However, there's no rules that fish read and I have a white double tail plakat who's kicking the crap out of his tankmates, including angelfish. I'd agree with polleni-puffer, just give them lots of places to hide and go for it.
