Garhan
hello, I have painted all my 10 gallon breeding tanks on 2 or 3 sides depending how they fit into the line up, 2 x 55 gallon, 1-20 gallon, 2- 30 gallon tanks with a Tremclad Glass satin in dark blue and or in black. The black actually needs to be custom ordered as a glass stain product in black does not seem to be a regular stock item. This is different from a latex. But hey latex works very well. Cheers, garhan
Smokey
Actually, I just use the 1' styrofoam, blue, for the back, sides, bottom, top. May not be impressive for some; but if does work and cuts the heat loss by 50%. I have placed a black bag over the insulation to darken the tank, but did not like the effect. Fish did not know wether to go to sleep or what??. :smokey: Smokey p.s. thanks for the returm of :smokey: smiley's
punman
I just recently painted the back and bottom of a 10 gallon fry tank with Krylon blue spray paint after seeing someone's tank on a forum. I really like it - no tape, no peeling. I may do a larger tank but I'll wait a few weeks to be sure I love the color.
