Traffic66
So went to my LFS to pickup some more Angels and a couple apple snails. got some malaysian trumpets in the mix. How can I tell that they are not just empty shells and actually a live snail. I have put them in my tank but have had no movement (at least 3 hours have passed). Thanks
jvision
Live snails will have a trap door over their opening. Dead snails tend to lose that.
ckmullin
If they are dead get some more as MTS are great for tanks...especially for planted tanks.
Fisher
If they're dead, they'll probably still be laying there in the morning.
Traffic66
that's what I was thinking. see if they have moved come morning. if they have disappeared or moved then I'm good. If not, then my hunt is on again for more.
