jvision
There's a thread somewhere around this site with a list of aquarium-safe silicons with pics of what the tubes look like. I think ckmullin started it, but I can't seem to find it - I thought I pinned it... maybe my eyes are broken today. I use stuff from Home Hardware that actually says "Safe for Aqauriums" on it and is like $10 for a 3-pak. I've used that stuff on aquarium builds, repairs, ponds, making pleco caves, etc. etc.
ckmullin
Here was that topic: http://albertaaquatica.com/index.php?showtopic=36149 Hope it's of some use to you.
Burbot
Any 100% silicone works.
Iceturf
Any 100% silicone works. Just make sure it doesn't have any "mildew" additives. Sometimes they claim 100%, but also have a little bit extra of other stuff. Bathroom / kitchen silicone tends to have mildew agents in them, window and door typically not. Tyler79
Avoid GE Silicone II
AdamTill
GE Silicone I works. I read it was aquarium safe, used it for a few internal bulkheads on a tank, and the fish are fine a month later. Any Home Depot etc will carry it. Buy the large tube, cover the end with tape after use, and it'll keep for a long time.
taureandragon
I have only used GE1 with no problems and have used it to stick rocks together. An aquarium safe epoxy would give a much stronger hold though
