Iceturf
I have an emmerssed tank of various aquarium plants I've collected. I recently mixed a half - half mix of fertilizer in a spray bottle, sprayed the emmersed tank and now a number of plants are turning black and dying...? chlwong
What kind of fertilizer did you use?
Iceturf
Typical EI dosing fertilizer. After some advice, took at look at it and the fertilizer mix smells acidic - so I guess spraying the plants with it created an excellent moist environment for mold, etc. Edited February 11, 2016 by Iceturf
chlwong
Do you have any pictures you could post of the plants?
jvision
If misting leaves, you have to dilute the crap out of it - emergent leaves can't handle what the roots can. Think how the submerged leaves have it - it's like diluting the mix you have right now with the entire volume of the tank.
Pteronarcys
Yah directly on the leaves will cause chemical burns. Once emerged fertilize the water with the roots.
