No it is not a 3-D back ground it is just a plasic backing. The tank is 30" tall so it is the only one i can find anywhere. I perfer just a plain Blue or Black background, but this will suffice. I should get one, sit by the tank with my wife, listening to the water, looking at the decoration, drinking a lot of drinks... just me, my wife doesn't drink, and after 10 or 12 drinks, letting her have her way with me. :& :& Oh and how old is the festae?
