  1. Is it 2 fish, a mated pair or a breeding pair? What size? What quality? Pics would really help
  2. what the part number? you get Big Al's to order it in for you...Are you looking for a double tap? click here to get the part number: http://www.eheim.com/base/eheim/pdf/en/ersatzteile/afilter/2076_2078_prof_3e_GB.pdf Just print it out and take it to big al's with the part that you need circled, the get new shipments at the end of each month
  3. if you are using the Eheim 2227 any media that comes with should be all bio media. Boiling the media for more than 5 min WILL kill and bacteria. If it's sponges and/or chemical media (carbon) etc, throw it out and buy new.
  4. I run an ehiem 2229 and the nice thing about a wet dry filter is that you don't really have to clean it. the wet dry are mainly used for biological filtration. so, if you are only running biological media, then your golden. I clean my 2229 once every 6-8 months and its only when the flow rate drops off. a quick rinse of the media and canister and you're good to go.
  5. 2 X 36" 2 bulb fixtures should work great.
  6. duh,,, yeah, i'll do that, 4 bulbs then? enough? Depends on the fish and plants. Whata re you planning on keeping?
  7. why not go with 2 36" fixtures to get full coverage?

  18. another alternative is to get a UV Sterilizer. if your tank is close to a window, you may continue to get water bound algae blooms. a UV sterilizer with cur the problem in about a day and keep it cured.
  19. Do a planted Discus tank. you could go with 6 Discus, 2 german blue Rams, and 6-8 congo tetras

  22. . I find that funny as bow valley aquariums bought all thier stock this week. Whats funnier is that they has to take thier own glass cutting tools and straight edges because the recievers had already taken them all from Concept. They will now be ordering tanks from bow valley....lol
  23. : I actually work for Bow Valley and it was yesterday that we bought out all the remaining items off the owner of Concept, that is all the stuff that the recievers of the company allowed us to buy.
