Never had a problem with adding the Dechlorinator during the refill process. I dont use tap water to pull tank water out. I use the ole mouth to hose trick and get it started then just let it do its thing. Ussuall water the plants and outside garden with the old tank water

I am in need of a temporary home for a female Festae. It will only need to be held onto until Kevin is able to make it into Calgary and pick her up. She is a tempermental little fish, but needs some one to watch her for a few weeks. PLEASE help.

OK so the network at my office sucks @$$. What if you dont know where to start other than it is a pleco? I have searched many pictures and am going cross eyed.

I am wondering how one goes about determining the type of pleco they have. I understand that planetcatfish is really good but do you go there and just start searching the lists, and looking at pictures? Or is there a rhyme to the reason? I have one that I need to figure out but would like to understand how somepeople come out and just say....OH thats L1??.

I would like to see some pics.

Welcome to the site and the hobby. Prepare to be broke. It would be easier on the pocket book to be into crack but not as enjoyable.

Fill it with water. Put the top on it. Put the hoses in the water. IN=INto the filter, OUT=into the tank. Plug it in, lift it up and turn it onto its side. shake (nicely) hold it up and on its side till water starts to flow then SLOWLY VERY VERY SLOWLY put in back on its base and stand it up. There you go. THIS is why so many people hate them.

HAHA Me either. Been there done that. Twice. Once on a tank and the other time on the fresh water topup for my salt tank. all within 3 weeks.
